My favorite holiday memories are of having lots of family and friends over for big meals. I love doing the cooking, preparing holiday recipes, the noise and laughter in the house, and of course, eating the food. I've happily adapted most of my old recipes to gluten-free but I had one more challenge. I was missing crusty chewy Italian bread that I could make into Crostini! I've always loved warm toasted chewy bites of Italian bread at holiday parties. Topped with Tapenade or made into Bruschetta, they are my favorite appetizers, but I hadn't quite found the right gluten-free flour blend to achieve that wonderful chewiness, until now! I'm so excited to share my NEW 20-minute Gluten-free, Yeast-free, Egg-Free, and Xanthan Gum-Free Italian Bread Rolls with you and did I say, they only take 20 minutes? No yeast, no rising and so easy to make. This amazing dough is also perfect patted out thin for flatbread or pizza crust. Scroll down to see my new Pizza crust u

I would make homemade buttered popcorn. Sometimes I am naughty and I make homemade caramel popcorn with brown sugar, unsalted butter a hint of water. I boil for 5 minutes then I add a little bit of heavy cream. klp56@live.com Kelly Payton
ReplyDeletelol...Hi Kelly, popcorn is a favorite around here too and I adore caramel corn, but like you, I don't indulge often! Darn, now you're making me hungry for it..lol
DeleteWe bring gluten free chex mix, popcorn, trail mix and fruit when we travel. If I had my way we would bring gf sandwiches so we didn't have to eat at fast food places along the way, but I always get out voted. :)
ReplyDeleteDana, I get out voted sometimes too. Luckily I can do a chili and a frosty at Wendy's when they all want burgers (ps, I'm not endorsing Wendy's. It's not the healthiest food, but yummy in a pinch) :)
DeleteI saw these bars the other day in a store, but didn't get them!
ReplyDeleteMy go-to snacks though are raw nuts, apples, and raw crunchy veggies like snap peas and carrots!
Hi Rebecca, I always carry almonds too! Hope you win!
DeleteI love natural almonds mixed with dried cranberries. We also do a lot of baby carrots and hummus.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, I'm going to add cranberries to my almond baggie from now on. :)
DeleteI love to pack trail mix and nut butter with crackers. Also fruit like oranges, apples, and bananas
ReplyDeleteCallahan4021, when we go to the beach I always take fruit, crackers and cheese, but I didn't think of nut butter. That's genius!
DeleteI love to take along fresh fruit or nuts if I plan ahead, but I usually have a Larabar in my purse because it is easy. This time of year means a huge batch of homemade Chex mix, so that will be my go-to snack for the next few weeks.
ReplyDeleteMissy
Hi Missy, I lived on Chex for years! Still sneak some now and then :)
DeleteMy own "gorp" or granola is a healthy treat to bring along for travel. I'm also big on LUNA bars and/or ZonePerfect bars, because they make my life easier!!
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea, I adore making granola too and eat it every day!
DeleteWe love making our homemade pop corn for road trips. It works great.
ReplyDeleteHi my friend, what toppings do you like for pop corn? Want to leave us a link? btw, readers? Adrienne has great recipes on her site!
DeleteNever heard of these bars before! My favorite gluten-free snack though is naturally gluten-free foods like animal proteins! :)
